My quilting challenge

After viewing Julie & Julia, I decided to try to make 100 quilt blocks in the year 2010, using a magazine that I got for Christmas (100 Quilt Blocks). I'm a lazy quilter, so this will be a big challenge. I'm not sure what I'll do with 100 quilt blocks, but I'll give some to my quilt guild to use for charity quilts. Thats it for my first blog. More to come in the new year.

  1. Although I have never seen Julie & Julia, I think this sounds like a splendid idea. I look forward to following your progress, and hope some of those blocks will be taken from the poor, and given to me :) Good luck with getting started! Say hello to Squeaker Boy Beau--I miss you both!

  2. Hello blockhead,
where is your second blog? your followers are counting on you! I'll bet you haven't started your first quilt block either! Here I am, on the first day of the new year checking faithfully and finding nothing new. How do you think that affects my block and my nyr? On a happier note, I have just killed one of Wallace's many fleas, and I threw him out the front door! (the flea, not Wallace). Please follow Portraits of a Lady! I look forward to your next blog and will post as soon as I know how to a picture of my empty board on which will soon appear a portrait :)

  3. Hi Blockhead: I finally got all the Cmas stuff put away, next move to buy a coffee table for the den, move the side table from the back porch into the den, thus enabling me to rearrange the back porch, dust and vacuum. Then I can start the portrait. Odd, but true. I ran 4x2 miles, did NT 2x 30 min, one more NT to do this evening. How about you? Great job on the quilt blocks! from Portraits by a Lady.
